Merging two 3D spaces

After merging two 3D objects into one 3D space, I am unable to delete one of the objects nor will it hide when clicking the eye icon. Any idea what's wrong?

I am new to PS 3D. Is there a 3D specific forum?

PS CC, MacOS 10.7.5
