Photoshop vs. Elements?

I work for a small company and am responsible for most of the marketing. I am currently upgrading to a new computer, and thus a new version of Photoshop. I currently have Photoshop 7.0 and am very comfortable with it - though admittedly I only use a fraction of its functionality. I use it to crop and size images, to enhance them sometimes and to prepare them for print or web use. I need to be able to work with, upload, and save files in the following formats: jpeg, pdf, psd, tif, bmp, eps. I have never used Elements and wonder if it might be a better fit for me, as perhaps I don't need the full batallion of Photoshop CC capabilities.

I don't like learning curves though (old dog, no new tricks please) and am concerned that I'll have trouble adjusting to a new program.

I don't use a mobile device at all, so that isn't even in the picture. And I only have the PC at work, so there are no Ipads, tablets, other computers to fit into the mix.

Thoughts?
