The colours, particularly a blue sky, of a Nikon NEF image when viewed in Camera RAW (and also when opened in PS proper) look dull compared to when viewed with Nikon ViewNX2 and Irfanview. The saved JPG images are as viewed.
In addition, the image in Camera RAW also shows chromatic aberration, such that for short focal lengths (18-46 mm) a dark object or shadow shows a green edge to its left when located at the left of the image, and similarly for top, bottom and right positions (the green is too big). There is a corresponding purple edge on the other side of the dark object (the purple is too small). For long focal lengths (100 - 200 mm) the reverse applies and for 70 mm there is no aberration. The aberration is not noticeable unless the image is magnified to the point where the pixels are about to become apparent. Both ViewNX2 and IrfanView show little or no aberration.
The colour shift in my first paragraph is my main concern.
The colour space selected in Camera RAW has no obvious effect. I am using sRGB.
