HDR merge and HDR toning keeps corrupting files!

I've posted about this before, even talked to an Adobe agent about it.

I'm using Photoshop CC, so the most up to date you can get.  I have been using HDR merge on 3 images.  It used to work.  Images looked great and loved the different options you can use.  However, as per my last entry on this, the files suddenly got corrupted and all the highlights turned bright red and pixellated, and the image was unusable.  However, doing the same process in my old software CS3, did not corrupt the files and worked fine, though not with as many options as I'd like.

I then found a work around for this, by using the HDR toning adjustment.  Again, it worked just fine for a while and I was very happy with the look of the images.  But.... once again, the images are starting to corrupt, with the blacks becoming very pixellated this time.

I'm in a queue of 8 people to talk to an agent, so I thought I'd write this post whilst waiting (it's gonna be a while...).  Question is, does anyone else have problems with this?  I can't find any other discussions about it either...
