I found recently that the Adaptive Wide Angle filter is auto correcting differently depending on the pixel width of the image. If the picture is at full resolution (5760 pixel width) when loaded into the filter, the 'distortion' of auto correct is massive. But if I reduce the same image to 4000 pixel width the distortion is much less - and reducing the file to 1000 pixel width causes auto correct to make almost no adjustment at all.
I am using CS6 64-bit on a Windows 7 64-bit machine (but the same thing happens if I switch to CS6 32-bit). The photo was shot with a 5Diii and a Canon EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM.
It doesn't seem right that the auto correction in the filter depends on the size of the image, rather than the lens used or how a panorama was compiled. It makes me think this is a bug. Would you agree?
It's frustrating because the auto correct is making massive changes to the original image, most of which I end up trying to undo.
Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.
