Performance reduction since

Since a couple of days I've been working on a dual monitor setup. However, this has seemingly considerably reduced Photoshop's performance.

Also, and more importantly, I've been experiencing frequent "Photoshop has stopped working" crashes, resulting in loss of work.

Is this a coincidence, or is it actually possible parts of my computer can't hack it?

I'm running the following:

Win 7 (64bit)

16GB RAM

i7-2600 at 3.4 GHz

AMD Radeon HD 6450

Any ideas?
