Does anyone know whether a path can be auto resized and snapped to a product or subject?

When doing product retouching, there's a particular part of my workflow where I'm required to resize a path to fit around a product. As of now, I'm using free transform to scale down the path to fit tightly around the product. This layer with the product does have a mask around it. Is there a shortcut or tool / option that automatically sizes the path to the product.

Any help with this would be amazing.

I'm trying to replace the content of text variables in my PSD thanks to a javascript script.

The script works but I'd like to push it a little bit further

I'd like to apply this script to all opened files. Ideally I'd like to get in a variable the list of all opened documents and then use a for loop to go through all items and apply my loop.

When I place an embedded image into a project, how do I allow myself control over the image so that Photoshop doesn't force me to place it in steps but allows me to place it wherever I want?

All of the tools in the sub-menus, mixer brush tool etc, have a black highlight around them as if I were trying to copy and paste them. It's also around the the text in the tool options like 'Size' and 'Harness' in the brush preset picker. It's not a major issue it's just annoying and i can't figure out how to get rid of it. I'm using CS6 and i think it started when i accidentally dropped my keyboard.

My son is able to navigate photoshop mix on his Ipad. The photoshop CC for PC is too complicated. Can anyone suggest a BASIC PC software program similar to mix? All he does is cut objects from 1 picture and add to another.

He currently is using Microsoft picture it publishing on an old Windows XP computer. It will not work on newer versions of Windows. We have another Windows 10 that he uses for everything else.He is non-verbal and a self learner. He will NOT let me show him how to do anything. He has to work thru it himself.

I am completely new to photoshop.  I am trying to create a yearbook cover and I have an image on the document, but I want to move it, but it won't allow me to move it because it is not selected.  So I go to find the layer where it is supposed to be listed and its not there.  Please help!! hello, ive bought photoshop cc today and i want to save my gif (the option to save gifs is to save for web) but save for web doesn't appear...help!!!

My PC was just updated and now when I open .jpg line drawings some of the lines are missing. When I zoom in the reappear and then I zoom in again and other lines are missing.  Something changed in my settings and I can't figure out what changed.  Need help please!

I'm so frustrated with this.  I got a subscription to the cloud for my new 13 inch Mac laptop.  I open up the photoshop screen to edit and I can't scroll down in the screen to edit the photo.  I just can't figure out how to navigate around the screen, and I can't find a video to get me started!  I started using Photoshop when it first came out years ago, but this is ridiculous.  I need help immediately!  I have a weekend of shooting and editing that starts in an hour!!

Hi--this seems like a perennial question, but the help page for CS5 seems to have been removed. I've tried every remedy I've found for every other version though... =)

I have CS5 extended, running on Win 10, something like 450 system fonts installed (all the latest versions, I think), and the text engine just refuses to initialize. I spent 6 hrs last night re-installing CS, reinstalling/deinstalling fonts, re-booting, trying different solutions, etc. Help?

I was trying to start a membership for Adobe CC for photograpers (via a photographer who puts in a nice little discount). But when I get to the payment section it leaves me with two options: credit card or paypal. The first one is a loan which I do not want for a membership like this and it will cost more via a credit card too. So in this case i choose the second option: Paypal. Which seems to work, just to the point where it says "this option isn't available in your region", which is mentioned after you have made an account and have logged in, just for this membership.. So I am left with only the credit card option.

How do I become member with that nice little discount (because I am only a hobby "photographer") and without a loan for some membership?

By the way... next to the mentioned stuff... not having a email adres for these kinds of questions and having to search half a website to ask a question is a really good way to prevent new customers to start using your products/services.

I have just purchased Canon 5D Mark IV but am unable to open CR2 files in Photoshop and Bridge CS5. I knew this would be a problem and realize that I need to upgrade one or both of those programs to download the appropriate Camera Raw plug-in -- because CS5 (or CS6?) will never get a plug-in to handle those files -- but I'm unclear what my options are.

I downloaded a trial version of Bridge CC but, once installed, I don't see how to download Camera Raw plug or how to open CR2 files for it. Does that mean I need to subscribe to PS CC or can I download a version that doesn't require having to pay every month in perpetuity?

I've never used Lightroom and haven't seen a reason to download it because Bridge takes care of my needs. Since I don't see Bridge paired with PS in any downloads, does that mean it's being phased out in favor of Lightroom? And, if not, why does Bridge exist if Lightroom does all the same things and is a superior product?

I've just learned how to export a film from lightroom to photoshop making a file into as a smart object...easy enough.

And although I love the idea that I can re-edit my work done in lightroom while in photoshop, the issue... in order for me to work on the file in photoshop (lets say skin retouching / frequency separation, etc)...i have to rasterize my smart object...thus defeating the whole purpose of using smart objects.

I have to rasterize in order to use the cloning tool, healing brush, spot tool etc...By rasterizing my duplicate layer, it means if I were to make adjustments to the original smart object layer, the effects are now not seen.  What am I doing wrong or what are my limitations when working like this?

The question is the title.  Which seems sort of dumb.

I just want to know how to delete the ever expanding list of recent custom backgrounds.
