I am a former art teacher and compiled many tutorials of Photoshop, Premiere and FinalCut. Does anyone know of an established website that I could share to? I am not looking to start my own but share with a community of art teachers already looking for material.

I am trying to use my watermark action with image processor to "process/batch my high resolution for print files to be for web png" my files all at once [saving as PNG]
Photoshop is keeping the files open with out saving them.
my action consists of-
placing an image
fit image [makes low res for web]
set selection
align
flatten
i used this action in my previous version of PS with no issues.
tried re-making the action- same thing happened.

I am trying to quantify the effect of several different whitening agents on stained material. I will have baseline photographs. The material will be treated with a whitener and then I will take post treatment photos for comparison. Rather than just looking and saying "yes it's lighter", how can I quantify the change in a valid way? Also is there a different method I should consider? Thank you for your consideration.

Hi ! I have just install CC 2014 in evaluation version but i can't open Photoshop. I start normaly, but after 1 second. It stop with a classic and nonsense windows message "your program stopped blablabla.. " with no other informations. and i can't do anything so.. i don't know.. is there any solution ? (i really need it for a cr2 photoshooting)

Why am I being asked to reinstall PhotoTools plugin after updating my Macbook to Yosemite? How do I do it?
My Mac OS X 10.6.8 won't open PHotoshop CS6 trial
I have a few thousand images I need to apply this algorithm to. I can get most of the way ther with Actions, but the conditional logic I cannot implement. The images are .png files with transparency and have various resolutions and aspect ratios.
Load Image
If (Image Width/Image Height) > 16/9 Then
Set Canvas Height = Canvas Width * (9/16); center original image top to bottom; new padded pixels are transparent.
Else
Set Canvas Width = Canvas Height * (16/9); center original image left to right; new padded pixels are transparent.
End If
Save Image
I need to do other things with layering as well, but that I can perform with Actions one this is completed, adn I figure babysteps with scripting.
If you can do branching logic within the Actions framework, I'd love to know that also.

I have made a wallpaper in photoshop cs6. The resolution of the document is 1920x1080. I have made it from scratch. The one image and text I have look fine but the shapes I made which are the rings look blurry when I set the jpg as the desktop wallpaper but look fine in photoshop. I tried different file formats and still the same issue. I think it has something to do with how I'm making the shapes. I first make a circle then another separate circle and make it smaller than the first one. I have to rasterize both of them to do this. Then I put the smaller circle on top of the bigger one and combine the layers then select the smaller one with selection tool and delete the smaller one which creates a ring shape that I want. This is probably my problem but I'm not really an experienced photoshop user.

I just bought a new computer with Windows 8 and re-installed my version of CS5 on it but it is the 12.0 version and has the 6.0 version of the camera raw plugin, which will not support my Nikon D7000 camera raw files. I had CS5 version 12.0.4 on my old computer and the 6.6 version of Camera Raw. I have gone to the website and tried to install the latest versions and it downloads them to my computer and I run them and it says they installed but nothing has changed in Photoshop--it still shows the same old versions. I have also tried to update from Photoshop in the help menu under updates and it just says it cannot update any of them and to quit and try again. I think there is supposed to be a Photoshop update, bridge update, camera raw update as well as a couple others, but again, it just won't install any of them but gives me no real reason to help me know what to do differently. I have not had a problem in the past of downloading and installing updates and I don't know if it is something with Windows 8 or what, but this is getting very frustrating and also frustrating that I can't actually talk to a person.

I've downloaded the Photoshop template for Android from Google's developer site and discovered a 'guide' layer that is used to create space around the controls to ensure that they line up properly. This 'guide' layer uses a number of advanced blending options that I'm not familiar with. To begin, it includes a 20% opacity in normal blend mode. The advanced settings are as follows:
The end result is a red box around my assets, presumably from this 'guide' layer. Whenever I set the opacity (both general and fill) to 0% it removes the necessary space around the control.
Does anyone know enough about the Advanced Blending Options to help remove the red box, or is familiar enough with the Android template to help me use it to generate image assets?
Has anyone else noticed that when you show a layer effect in PS CS6 on Yosemite there is a severe brush lag?
Even when the effect is NOT on the active layer, hiding the effect (such as a stroke effect on a layer) allows the brush strokes to appear realtime.
This wasn't happening on Mavericks.

On my mac with yosemite, when trying to install my own brushes, I get error message: "Could not load the brushes "blahblah.abr" because the file is not compatible with this version of PS" (PS CC 2014) ????
Can anyone tell me why that would be happening or what I should do?
