Multiple Monitors - Multiple Display Adapters - Calibration - Photoshp Failure

I have a Windows 8 PC with two dissimilar monitors, a Radeon R9 270 video card and an Intel 4600 display adapter.  I have the latest video drivers for both display adapters.

 

I recently purchased an i1 to calibrate both monitors.  Since the Radeon does not support multiple ICMs, I had to move one of the monitors from the Radeon to the 4600 in order to calibrate both monitors.  Photoshop CC now fails to run, complaining: "Error: "Graphics hardware not officially supported for 3D" | Photoshop CC, 13.1" and ".. 3D features which require a minimum graphics card with 512 MB of VRAM."

 

No other program I have installed has a problem with my multiple monitor / multiple display adapter configuration.

 

I have no need for Photoshop 3D features.  How do I turn off 3D features so that Photoshop runs without failure?

 

I find it difficult to believe that Adobe has not encountered this issue before and cannot provide Photoshop CC users a work-around to allow Photoshop to run multiple calibrated monitors without Photoshop failing!

Photoshop CC opens its window less than full screen - can I change this

When I open Photoshop CC new or from a minimized state, it opens at less than full screen so I have to hit the middle button in the upper right of the window. I cannot find a preference setting to change this. Please advise. Running on Windows 7.

New Camera RAW to DNG but DNG not recognised

I recently purchased a Sony Cybershot RX100M3. The RAW files are Sony's ARW2. I have Photoshop CS4 and Bridge. Naturally they won't recognise the new RAW files. I converted then to DNG using Adobe DNG converter. However CS4 and Bridge would not recognise the resulting DNG. I thought all DNG files were the same. Am I wrong? Has any body ideas how to solve the problem short of upgrading?

Cuando lanzo un foto desde lightroom a photoshop resulta que los negros en la imagen en lightroom están correctos pero sin embargo en photoshop los aclara y en las zonas de piel se indexa la imagen. Alguien podría ayudarme??

I am trying to paint in Photoshop. For some reason my lower portion of my images as well as the far right and other certain areas are not allowing any changes to be made. Can anyone help me. I am trying to do a  class assignment and its not working.

I had the same problem before.

I solved it last time, with your help, but now - its there again, but what solved my problem before, didn´t help now

 

I use Photoshop CC 2014, 2.1 on OSX 10.7.5.

 

Today I started to record an action. I added some adjustement layers and did some adjustements.

But the action panel did only record the adding of the adjustement layers, but not the important settings

 

I already unchecked Enable Generator and I did a reset the photoshop cc 2014 preferences

but unfortunatly this didn´t help

I know how to open a new layer, however, how do you get the layer to open as a transparent layer? So it's not a white thumbnail, but a checkerboard transparent thumbnail?

I imported the catalog file project from Elements 7 to Elements 13 from portable drive.  Picture files with modifications were restored but not my slideshow project file. What is the best way to restore the original slideshow project from Elements 7?

Whenever I go to crop, save the image I cropped and open the image I cropped for a school assignment it takes over an hour for each task I listed what could be the problem?

I've read it could be my RAM but I definitely have enough memory on my computer. Sometimes when I open Photoshop it says disc driver error or something like that.

Can somebody tell me how we can move "Tekst kopia" object instead of touching "Tekst" object?
I checked a "Tekst kopia" and then I want to drag & drop this copy of my text. But when I do that, a "Tekst" objects makes chosen.

 

I try even click by right mouse button on "Tekst" on the workspace and from selected list (then we will se a pop-up with their names) change "Tekst copy" and then move. But result was the same. How to do that?

What is the best way to get PATHS from one Photoshop psd file to another?

Hi! New on the site, and I signed up specifically to ask the best way to import one .psd file into another, including the paths on the paths palette.

 

Almost all of my Photoshop drawings make heavy use of vector paths, which I then stroke using using PS natural-media brushes and the "stroke paths" function (usually with "simulate pressure" checked.) Also, my .psd files tend to be, um, HUGE... and I typically break up a whole drawing into separate PS files and then assemble all of them into one final finished graphic.

 

I have no trouble moving raster stuff from file to file. Just put all the layers I want to transfer into a group and drag the group to the other .psd. Works fine, including layer masks. But I have not found a good way to get vector paths from the Paths palette of one .psd to another. Of course I can select paths and copy them to the Win clipboard, switch to the other .psd, and paste them back in. The drawback to that method is that I lose the correct size relation between the results of previously done "stroke paths" operations (on raster layers) and the paths that generated them. Sometimes the copied-in paths are way too large, sometimes way too small, never Just Right.

 

As I'm sure most of you know, if you resize an entire Photoshop document from within PS, any paths it contains are correctly resized along with everything else. That's no longer true after grouped raster layers are dragged over to another document but paths are copied and pasted in. The size connection is lost. (Location placement, too.)

 

I WANT those paths! After I bring a piece of a drawing into the full final drawing, what looked good when I was working on it separately often doesn't look right any longer and I want to re-stroke those paths using different brush diameter, opacity, etc., or maybe even a completely different brush.

 

I've tried bring outside .psd files in as smart objects with the Place command but either that doesn't work or I'm not doing it right. Using Place, the paths in the Placed document don't come in at all.

 

I'll be very grateful for any hints or strategies any of you knowledgeable folks can give me. Thanks very much!

I am unable to click on a layer mask for editing. CS6 OS10.10

I have been working on a file and all of a sudden I am unable to click on a layer mask in order to edit that mask. I am still able to do the following things:

 

  • Create a new adjustment layer. When I do this a new mask is formed for that layer and automatically selected for editing. I can edit this mask. As soon as I click off of it I cannot go back to it.
  • I am able to shift-click and command-click on layer masks and get those options/selections.
  • I am able to drag an existing mask to a new adjustment layer.
  • Hide/unhide the mask-overlay
  • Pretty much everything but click ON the mask and have it selected for editing.

 

I have tried the following:

  • Closing and re-opening the file.
  • Restarting photoshop.
  • Restarting my computer.
  • Deleting/recreating the preferences files.

 

Any insight out there?

Color selection won't work under Yosemite

Since I upgraded to Yosemite on my MacPro CS6 color selector fails to work. It either says "no pixels were selected" or selects the wrong color or even, sometimes (non-repeatable) the inverse. I have tried every setting I can find but no change in behavior. Rebooted the machine. Nothing. Magic wand works fine. What is wrong?

In the activity monitor I can see it uses 5GB when opened. Can I run photoshop through an external drive or how can I fix this problem?

RAW wont open for nikon d7100- wont let me update raw plugin

I just got a new camera- nikon d7100- i switched form nikon d5000. I can not open raw files with the 7100. i have tried downloading the upgrade for the plug in, i have tried tech support to where they took over my computer- still nothing. it will still open raw files from the d5000. I dont know what to do, i shoot mostly in raw!!!! i DO NOT have the money to upgrade to cs6! I can't do my work!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!
